Name: Shadow Moon Door: Door Pass Designation: Dominant Housing: 018-A Canon: American Gods (tv series) Canon Point: Season 2 Episode 8 "Moon Shadow" (season 2 finale) Age: 32 Orientation: Straight Appearance: A big man in pretty good shape. (Safe for work pic.) Height: 6’4” Weight: 235lbs Mixed (black mother, white father) Eyes brown (although gray in the book) History: Shadow Moon wiki Personality: The series begins with Shadow in prison five days before he's to be released from a three year sentence. For someone who spent years in prison, he doesn't appear hardened like some of the other inmates. There is something positive about him besides his pending release. Whether it’s his wife (Laura Moon) that he's looking forward to seeing or a job lined up with his best friend (Robbie Burton), there is a warmth to him regardless of his cold surroundings. What seemed like a promising second chance, quickly becomes earth shattering. Shadow is called by the warden and given the news that Laura has died in a car accident so he's being released early for her funeral. His introspective tendency is seen as he remains silent although visibly shocked with angry silent confusion over the sudden loss. His loss doesn’t stop at the death of his wife. On the way to Laura’s funeral, he learns that Robbie also died. This is where a gullible side to Shadow can be seen. Only during his wife’s funeral does he find out the specifics of her death and the death of his best friend; the two were having an affair. They died in the same car wreck with Robbie's dick in Laura's mouth. At receiving the news by his dead friend’s widow, the shock on his face is clear that Shadow hadn’t put two and two together (Laura and Robbie dying on the same day in car accidents). ![]() Again, there was visible shock and dismay on his features but Shadow doesn’t utter a word. Shadow speaks very little overall, more of a listener than a talker. His is seen rarely striking up a conversation of his own accord outside of a heightened state. He chatted up Wednesday when they first met, ultimately confessing having never flown before. Much like conversation, Shadow is slow to aggression. Yet he doesn't cower to anyone regardless of size, demeanor or even numbers. He held an intense toughness in prison while not part of a gang, unfazed at the hard looks from the inmates in gangs. After his wife's funeral, Shadow stopped at a bar and is repeatedly taunted by a much larger man to fight but only gives in after the man insults his dead wife. The bar fight is not just a sign of how difficult Shadow is to provoke but also an indication of his loyalty that he doesn’t stand anyone besmirching his deceased wife regardless of her betrayal. He takes his promises seriously. More than a dedication to the wedding vows he took but when repeatedly tempted to betray Wednesday, Shadow doesn’t waiver. Powers and Abilities:
